WinQT2 - Windows Based "Authorized English Translatioin of Quran"

It has the Quran in five languages, English, Arabic, Farsi, Swedish, Indonesian/Malay. This program does not have the appendices found in WinQT.

Features:  

WinQT2 includes the Arabic Quran, as well as English, Farsi, Indonesian and Swedish translations. All are searchable.

Requirements:

WinQT2 requires a PC with Windows 95 or better, and up to 240 MB hard disk space.

In order for the Arabic and Farsi texts to work, WinQT2 requires Windows 2000 professional or Windows XP professional with Arabic & Farsi language support installed. Those texts will also be displayed on Windows XP Home edition, but this operating system may or may not provide the Arabic and Farsi "Input locales" that are needed for searching.

Instructions

If you have a previous version of WinQT2 installed please uninstall it before installing the new version. If you don't, the installer will recommend that you keep the existing files. None of the old
files are to be kept, so if this happens click "No to all", in order to overwrite all the old files.

1. Create an empty folder on your desktop.
2. Download the file "WinQT2.exe" to the newly created folder.
3. The file "WinQT2.exe" should now be in the new folder.Double-click on it (WinQT2.exe) to extract the installation files.
4. When the extraction is complete, close the DOS-box and double-click on the file "Setup.exe". This starts the installation

If you wish, you can easily put WinQT2 onto nine diskettes:
Just put the files fsk22.cab to fsk29.cab onto diskettes 2 to 9, and the other 3 extracted files onto diskette #1.

Post-install information:

The first time WinQT2 starts up after installation, it extracts the Arabic verse images. This is a disk-intensive background process that can take several minutes on older computers. If you press F4 to get the Arabic verse image for a verse, and all you get is an empty window, please close that window and try again a few minutes later.
